Google’s Nexus One China Launch Postponed
The Nexus One, Google’s much-awaited smartphone, has had its launch in China postponed due to concerns regarding censorship and email surveillance by the Chinese government.
The Nexus One was due to be available in China yesterday, but it’s arrival date is now a mystery. According to Google Inc’s spokesperson, Marsha Wang, the recent publicity surrounding Google’s relationship with the Chinese government suggest that the customers will not have positive experiences with the new phone.
Google recently revealed that they no longer want to have built-in filtering or censorship in their Chinese domain, but rather are fighting for an open, unfiltered search engine.
